Who should take this course?

If you clean-up of hazardous waste sites, chemical spills, or natural disasters, or work at a hazardous waste clean-up site on an occasional basis, then you and your employees must undergo the HAZWOPER HazMat Technician training. This includes workers on site only occasionally for specific limited tasks and those who work in areas where hazards do not exceed permissible exposure limits (PELs).

Many organizations mandate HAZWOPER training for employees whose job requirements involve the handling, storage, transportation, or use of hazardous materials and wastes. Additionally, regulatory agencies such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) specifically mandate this training for certain industries and job functions.
