SevenGen’s open enrollment courses are designed to address fundamental environmental, health, safety, (EHS) and compliance topics. Our in-person training programs and demonstrations are designed to give your team the knowledge and skills to identify and mitigate risks, safely handle and manage hazardous materials, and navigate emergency response situations (i.e., environmental spills).

Our training sessions are delivered by industry experts, skilled both technically and as educators, and include insights and practical knowledge. Our subject matter experts utilize engaging training methodologies such as case studies, group discussions, and hands-on activities to ensure active participation and effective knowledge retention. Our state-of-the-art classrooms are outfitted with the latest AV technologies and resources, with space for collaborative hands-on exercises and demonstrations. Our training programs are offered at times that fit your schedule throughout the year.     DOT HazMat/RCRA

    Approximately 8 hours

    If you generate, store, manage or handle hazardous waste at your job site and offer it for transportation, then you and your employees must undergo DOT hazmat certification and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) training. By completing this DOT RCRA hazmat course, you’ll satisfy Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Transportation requirements for mandatory initial certification and recertification.

    8-Hour HAZWOPER First Responder Operations (FRO)

    Approximately 8 hours

    If you are one of the first on scene during an emergency, including those required to take defensive actions to help limit the effects of a spill, then you and your employees must undergo the HAZWOPER First Responder Operations (FRO) training. Employers are responsible for determining which employees need HAZWOPER training based on their job roles and potential exposure to hazardous substances. Additionally, regulatory agencies such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) specifically mandate this training for certain industries and job functions. 8-hour HAZWOPER First Responder Operations will remain valid for 12 months from course completion.

    24-Hour HAZWOPER HazMat Technician

    Three days, 8 hours each (24 hours total)

    If you clean-up of hazardous waste sites, chemical spills, or natural disasters, or work at a hazardous waste clean-up site on an occasional basis, then you and your employees must undergo the HAZWOPER HazMat Technician training. This includes workers on site only occasionally for specific limited tasks and those who work in areas where hazards do not exceed permissible exposure limits (PELs). Many organizations mandate HAZWOPER training for employees whose job requirements involve the handling, storage, transportation, or use of hazardous materials and wastes. Additionally, regulatory agencies such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) specifically mandate this training for certain industries and job functions.

    8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher Course

    Approximately 8 hours

    This training is designed for workers and managers at uncontrolled hazardous waste operations who previously completed 40- or 24-hour HAZWOPER training. Roles at HAZWOPER sites that require refresher training include equipment operators, general laborers, hazardous materials technicians, hazardous materials specialists, hazardous materials supervisors, on-scene incident commanders, other general site workers, on-site management, and supervisory personnel.
